The Monthly Meet

Three hours one Sunday every month in the bliss of the Samford Lifestyle Centre.
An hour talk discussing a feature of your camera, a photography technique or a creative aspect of the talk to inspire that next step in your journey.
Share a plate lunch with cold drinks provided, opportunity for discussion and questions.
Practical photography or editing activity ranging from working on your own, with a partner or with Belinda as a group..

Let’s talk manual exposure and focus settings, what they are, how they affect your photos and where you change and control them on your camera.
Shared lunch, bring a plate of finger food to share.
Partner portraits, using the studio space we will photograph each other and Belinda will help you with your manual exposure and focus settings.
MEMBER CHALLENGE - submit a photo every day for the next two weeks taken with your camera on manual. Share the settings for feedback on how to improve.

Light and composition. The keys to an interesting and beautiful photograph. Learn to seek the best light and how to use it.
Shared lunch, bring a plate of finger food to share.
Photo walk on site, finding different light sources and how to place your subject.
MEMBER CHALLENGE - submit a photo every day for two weeks demonstrating the different types of light.

This course is designed to teach you to use an SLR or mirrorless camera in manual mode. If your camera has a manual mode you’re in! Any questions, email me before booking belinda@belindadorman.com .

The first hour I will give a talk on a relevant photography topic catering to the levels within the room. There will be opportunity for discussion, sharing and questions.
We will share a finger food lunch and continue conversation, the Sunday Collective is as much about carving out time for us and our interests as it is what we learn.
The last 90 minutes will be a creative activity often designed to implement the learnings from the talk.

This course is going to address all of the above, welcome! I will be teaching manual camera control with the beginner in mind and pass on all my tips and tricks for working with the most difficult of children.
